New City Hall Hours

The City of Glenwood Springs is revising the operating hours for City Hall, located at 101 West 8^th Street.

Glenwood Springs City Hall will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and will be closed on Fridays, starting September 18. Operating hours are expected to return to normal after the completion of the Grand Avenue Bridge project.

Community Center Closure

The Community Center will be closed for maintenance September 14 through 17 and October 2 through 7.
Throughout the next few months, there will also be periodic closures of some Community Center amenities to complete some much-needed repairs.

September 12 – 17: Climbing Wall will be closed.
September 14 – 17: ALL areas of the Community Center will be closed.
October 2 – November 1: Pool and Hot Tub will be closed. Swim classes/lessons will still occur but no open swim.
September 30 – October 15: Locker rooms closed
October 2 – 7: Community Center closed

Stay Safe while Biking

Some cyclists are going way too fast down the north end of the Rio Grande trail (underpass near bridge to Two Rivers Park). Please slow down and be aware of pedestrians. The trail currently has a much larger volume of users than normal (including the children in the walking school bus) and we do not want to see anyone get hurt.

Remember

Our trail system is for everyone. Please share.
Keep right and pass left. Say “passing left” or ring a bell to warn others that you’re overtaking.
If you’re standing still, step aside so others can pass.
Yield to slower trail users, and wait for a safe place to pass.
Travel at a safe speed – no more than 20mph.
Keep pets on a 6’ leash. This will keep them safe and out of the way of others.
