Locals' Choice Winners

Glenwood Springs was well represented in the Post Independent’s 2017 Locals’ Choice awards. Best Law Enforcement Officer went to Glenwood Springs PD’s John Hassel, while always-chipper Chief Terry Wilson came in second. In the category of Best Firefighter, Jesse Hood and Doug Trauger received second and third place, respectively.

If you’re looking for the best gym/fitness center in town? Look no further than the Glenwood Community Center, as it was voted first place in the gym/fitness category. Former Glenwood Springs City Councilor Leo McKinney was voted Best Local Government Official. And if anyone needed another reason to visit scenic Two Rivers Park, it was voted second place for Best Picnic Spot.

City Offices and Facilities will be Closed for Memorial Day – 5/29/2017

City of Glenwood Springs administrative offices and non-emergency services, including city hall, the community center, and the landfill will be closed to the public on Monday, May 29, 2017 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

The City’s online services are not affected by the closure and can be accessed online at www.cogs.us

City offices will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 30, 2016.

Ride Glenwood Springs

Now is the perfect time to explore beautiful Glenwood Springs while using our convenient daily transit service. Ride Glenwood Springs (RGS) is the City's year-round public transit bus service. Stops are located throughout Glenwood Springs, near tourist attractions, the downtown area, shopping centers and neighborhoods. RGS also provides critical connections to regional Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) transit services, Greyhound Bus Lines, and Amtrak. The fare for the Ride Glenwood Springs bus is just $1 per day.
