The City of Glenwood Springs is excited to welcome our three newly elected City Council members, Shelley Kaup, Jonathan Godes, and Rick Voorhees. These talented individuals are replacing term-limited outgoing Councilors Stephen Bershenyi, Leo McKinney, and Matt Steckler.

Grand Avenue Pedestrian Bridge

Grand Avenue Pedestrian Bridge is Officially Open

The Grand Avenue Pedestrian Bridge is now open to the public, and the views are spectacular. Access to the south stairwell is via the intersection of Seventh Street and Cooper Avenue. ADA users will need to continue using the temporary walkway along the vehicle bridge, until access can be installed.

Glenwood Springs Fire Dept. Receives $25,000 Grant from Garfield County FMLD

The City of Glenwood Springs Fire Department has received a $25,000 Mini Grant from the Garfield County Federal Mineral Lease District, for the purchase of 15 rugged portable radios with spare batteries and remote speaker microphones. Thank you, Garfield County!

Three Month Amnesty Period for Unpermitted Accessory Dwelling Units

The Glenwood Springs City Council has authorized a three-month amnesty period for the registration and permitting of accessory dwelling units (ADUs) that were not constructed or established with proper permits. An ADU is a second small residence on the same property (or attached to) a regular single-family dwelling, such as an apartment over the garage or in the basement. The amnesty period began April 1, and will continue until June 30.
