Recycle your Christmas Tree

The City of Glenwood Springs offers Christmas tree recycling to residents, which helps keep organic material out of the landfill. Drop off your real Christmas tree to the leaf collection site near the Airport. Directional signs to the drop-off site have been installed along Midland Ave. Trees must be free of ornaments, wire, lights and tinsel.

Safety Tip: Don't let your car idle unattended

While letting your car warm up this winter, please do not leave your vehicle unattended. Leaving your car or truck running with the keys in it gives would-be thieves an opportunity to steal your vehicle. Even while a person is in the vehicle, city code prohibits letting your car idle for longer than 15 minutes.
