Mitchell Creek Community Meeting - May 25, 2021
In 2018, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) adopted revised mapping for the Mitchell Creek floodplain. The City of Glenwood Springs held a community meeting for residents surrounding Mitchell Creek that may be affected by this revised floodplain mapping. The City discussed the impacts this map revision may have to you as a property owner, as well as the ongoing effort to evaluate potential mitigation of the mapped floodplain in the future. The floodplain mapping is shown below.
