Direct Debit Payment

The City of Glenwood Springs offers an "automatic" direct debit payment option, at no additional charge, for the account types listed below.

To Setup Direct Debit Payments:

For water/sewer or electric accounts -

The City of Glenwood Springs is transitioning to a new utility billing system in June 2023, at which time customers will be able to sign up for automatic payments through the City’s new customer portal.  Details will be posted here when available.

For landfill accounts - Landfill ACH Authorization Form

Submit the form and a voided check (or image of one) via e-mail to yvette.gustad@cogs.us or postal mail to: City of Glenwood Springs, PO Box 458, Glenwood Springs, CO 81602.

Accounts will be paid via direct debit in the month following submission of the authorization form and voided check.  Customers will continue to receive regular monthly bills as usual, with the date of the debit indicated on the bill.

If your account has insufficient funds when the debit hits the account, a non-sufficient funds charge will be assessed as it would if paid by check on an account with non-sufficient funds.

Written notification is required for cancellation of direct debit payments.
